Beloved by all, his kind, patient sympathetic

understanding, his great unselfishness and devout

Christian life were among his many attributes.

Forty years after the closing of Christian Endeavor

Academy and twenty years after his life was taken,

this memorial was made possible by his students,

friends and those who learned of his staunch Christian

character through the efforts and accomplishments

of a small, limited alumni association.

Walter March Ellis will ever be

a bulwark of sincere Christian influence to

all who were privileged to know and love him.
