The Magnolia Tree Inn
On this site prior to 1884 James Sands Darling built his Victorian home which survived the destructive fire of that year. The home was occupied by his daughter, Grace Darling Cumming, and her family until 1923. It later became the Magnolia Tree Inn and Gift Shop, a popular tearoom, and operated as such until 1935. The house was razed in 1940. Just to the north, a large house with a red roof was the office of Dr. Paul Parker.
