The Lagrange Phalanx
The Fourier System of communal living was attempted here between 1843 and 1848. Approximately thirty families lived by rules established in councils of industry, commerce, justice and education. Their "new social order" was a failure.
Marker is on U.S. 20 ½ mile east of State Road 3, on the right when traveling west.
