The Disbandment of the Armies
This monument was erected under the authority of the Congress of the United States and of the State of New York in commemoration of The Disbandment under proclamation of the Continental Congress of Oct 18, 1783 of the Armies by whose patriotic & military virtue our National Independence & Sovereignty were established.
Marker can be reached from Washington Street, on the right when traveling east.
