The Churchyard
After September 11th, debris from the collapse of the World Trade Center covered the streets of lower Manhattan. Soot, papers, computer monitors, window blinds, and other items from the towers filled St. Paul’s churchyard. The churchyard re-opened to the public on November 3, 2003, more than two years after the tragedy.
Marker can be reached from Vesey Street, on the right when traveling east.
