The American Legion prays for peace
-- but peace with honor!
We pray that mankind will accept as a basis
for this peace the trinity of
religious, political and social freedom won in
the American Revolution,
preserved in the Civil War,
protected in the Spanish-American War, and
defended in the Great Wars
and in the Korean Conflict.
Dedicted by the American Legion
this eleventh day of November, 1955.
