State Hospital
Opened in 1889, grew from 40 patents to 10,000 by 1954. Inc. nursing school, farm, power & train depots. Closed October 10, 1996.
Marker is at the intersection of Carlton Avenue (County Route 17) and Smith Street, on the left when traveling north on Carlton Avenue.
