St. Clair Hollow

Named in honor of Gen. Arthur St. Clair.

The source of this hollow is a large spring two miles south, where Gen. St. Clair, in a log cabin, spent his last days.

He was, A Major General in the American Revolution.

President of the Continental Congress.

First Governor of the Northwestern Territory.

A pioneer ironmaster in western Pennsylvania.

Born 1736 - Died 1818

Buried in Greensburg

Marker is at the intersection of Lincoln Highway (U.S. 30) and St. Clair Hollow Road, on the right when traveling east on Lincoln Highway.
