Sanford Residential Historic District
The Sanford Residential Historic District contains buildings that date from the 1880s to the 1930s, when Sanford was a prominent agricultural and transportation center. While the district consists primarily of residential houses, there are also some commercial buildings, such as schools, churches and libraries. Many of the buildings are built in the Bungalow, Colonial Revival, Mission, Spanish Colonial Revival and Queen Anne styles. The boundaries of the district are Sanford Avenue, 14th Street, Elm Avenue, and 3rd Street.
