Sandtown Trail
This road was originally the Sandtown Trail traveled by several tribes of Creek Indians. It connected Sandtown on the Chattahoochee River near Atlanta, Ga. with another Sandtown in Tallapoosa Co., Ala. Later became Old Ala. Road over which early white settlers traveled. It was at one time a stage coach route through this section.
Marker is at the intersection of Broad Street (Georgia Route 120) and Bowden Street (Georgia Route 100), on the left when traveling west on Broad Street.
