Ponce de Leon's Fountain of Youth Archaeological Park

Within the boundaries of the park, St. Augustine, the oldest continuously occupied European settlement in the continental United States began. In the early 1900s, the property owner began charging admission to drink from spring waters located on the property, and the myth grew that it was the Fountain of Youth that Juan Ponce de Leon reportedly sought on his voyage to Florida.
