Located at U.S. Highway 1 at Mile Marker 45, the district consists of seven frame vernacular structures built between 1909 and 1920 as a railroad construction work camp for laborers on Henry Flagler's overseas railroad. The camp includes a 1912 Negro Workers' Cottage.
