Col. Noah L. Farnham

Whose remains rest beneath this monument was at the breaking out of the war in which he lost his life. First Lieut. Of the Second Company Seventh Reg. New York State Militia. The memorial statue erected by that reg. in the City of New York has his name inscribed thereon as one of their earliest martyrs and most beloved comrades.
