NAS Pensacola Officer's Housing
In the early 1930s, the Naval Air Station began expanding. The town of Warrington, which was located just west of the base, was moved to the north side of Bayou Grande.
In 1934, 840 bodies were moved from the Warrington Cemetery to make room for the construction of the Warrington officers quarters.
Today, residents still claim that flowers won't grow behind the houses since bodies had once been buried there.
