Morris Canal
1824 - 1924
At this location the canal crossed Second River on a wooden aqueduct. The aqueduct and canal's five-foot depth made this a popular summer diving and swimming spot for Bloomfield's youth.
Marker is on Newark Avenue west of Berkeley Avenue when traveling west.
