Main Street Historic District
This district is a collection of Victorian and early 20th-century commercial buildings, largely built between 1860 and 1910. Once southern Dane County's mercantile center, the district provided extensive retail and professional services. Extending west to the Yahara River, the district was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.
Marker is on East Main Street (U.S. 51) west of South 5th Street, on the right when traveling east.
