Lincolnville Center

Lincolnville Center was a busy place in the 19th Century with three general stores, two blacksmith shops, a couple of sawmills, several shoemaking shops, a one-room school, two churches and a wheelwright shop. In 1904 the Lincolnville Telephone Company was founded near this site.

Marker is at the intersection of Belfast Road (Maine Route 52) and Searsmont Road (Maine Route 173), on the right when traveling south on Belfast Road.
