Lawrence Park
From 1851 to 1892 this was the location of the first railroad depot in Lawrence County. It was built by the New Albany and Salem R. R. And handled both passengers and freight. Starting in 1876 it was also the depot of the narrow gauge Bedford and Bloomfield R. R. When the depot was moved from the public square in 1892 this area became the first public owned park in the county.
