Homewood Junction

Founded 1859 as Homewood Junction of Pittsburgh, Fort Wayne and Chicago and Erie and Pittsburgh Railroads. Named for Ironmaker James Wood.

Incorp. 1910. Post Office was known as Racine Penna. Historic St. Cloud Hotel, Clydesdale Quarry, and Buttermilk Falls on Clarks Run are nearby.

Marker is at the intersection of State Street and 3rd Avenue, on the right when traveling north on State Street.
