Confederate Monument - Ocala
This monument was erected in 1908 by the United Daughters of the Confederacy beside the Marion County Courthouse in the downtown Ocala Public Square.
Although a new larger county courthouse was constructed in 1965 and then expanded in 1991, the monument remained in front of the courthouse until 2007 when another expansion resulted in its relocation to a nook on the building's south side. In August 2010, it was moved to the Ocala-Marion County Veterans Memorial Park.
