Church-Hospital
Munfordville Presbyterian Church, founded, 1829. In Sept., 1862, during siege of Munfordville, the Union Army commandeered this church for use as a hospital with nurses' quarters in house at left. Those who died in battle or of wounds, removed to Nashville; 359 who died from other causes, buried in scattered and unmarked graves. CSA casualties buried on field.
Marker is on Dixie Highway / Main Street (U.S. 31W) south of Center Street (State Highway 88), on the right when traveling south.
