Caroline Horsler-St. Michael's Cemetery
Caroline Horsler (1838-1846)was the daughter of Andrew Horsler and Bela Weil of Germany. She was born in New York City and died on June 13, 1846, the cause of her death is uncertain.
The Horsler family legacy began with Lillian, the daughter of Caroline's sister Amelie. Lillian married Dr. Luther Leonides Hill, the first American physician to perform a successful human heart suture operation. Their son, Lister Hill, was a United States Senator for the State of Alabama from 1923 to 1938. Lister Hill was a major supporter of Franklin Delano Roosevelt's New Deal program.
