Apple Market

Apple Market is a family friendly grocery store that provides the community of East Pensacola Heights with a comfortable shopping environment and numerous jobs that infuse the local economy. Originally, the building that is now the home of Apple Market was Joseph's IGA, the third IGA store constructed in Pensacola. Built in 1966, Robert Joseph purchased the IGA and supplied the East Pensacola Heights Community with 3,000 different items and 10 full time employee positions. Joseph remained the owner and manager of Joseph's IGA until 1996. In 1996, David Apple, a grocery retailer from Dallas, Texas, purchased the IGA and transformed it into the Apple Market that is now a prevalent fixture in the community. In 2004, Apple expanded the store by 3,500 square feet to accommodate the demands of the community. Apple Market strives to meet the needs of the Scenic Highway population and extends friendly service to those who support the store in return. It is a beloved institution among the members of the community and prides itself on being, "the biggest little store in town."
