Adam Hawkes

Adam Hawkes, the first white settler in Saugus, built on this site about 1630. President John Adams was his great-grandson.

Marker is on Walnut Street (Massachusetts Route 129) just east of Broadway (U.S. 1), on the left when traveling east.
