under General Prentiss, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. April 6,
1862, when they attempted to retire but were surrounded and captured with Prentiss at 5.30 p.m.
Marker is on Sunken Road 0.2 miles east of Eastern Corinth Road, on the left when traveling east.
