This regiment was engaged here from 8.30 a.m. To 9 a.m. April 6, 1862. It then retired behind Hurlbut's Division and was next engaged east of Hamburg Road near the Wicker Field.
Marker is at the intersection of Peabody Road and Eastern Corinth Road, on the right when traveling east on Peabody Road.
